Walter Street - Brass Caption Head
Walter Street has been involved in drum corps most of his life - as performer, caption head, arranger, and even director. He has worked with with many Junior and All-age corps and his tireless dedication coupled with his broad experience in the marching world will be invaluable to guiding and coaching the members as well as the rest of the staff.
Walter was most recently a member of the Reading Buccaneers for all six of their World Championships from 2005-2010. He has also been the brass caption head for the Steel City Ambassadors for 8 years as well as the caption head for the Westshoremen, Soundwave, Allegheny Night Storm, Silver Sabres, and the General Butler Vagabonds . He has also taught and marched in several other corps at all levels.
Walter is a music educator currently teaching General Music in the Avonoworth School District, near Pittsburgh Pa. He was formerly the Marching Band Director for the Avonworth Marching Band for 22 years.
Walter was inducted into the Pa. Drum Corps Hall of Fame in 2009.
